Our journey began 13 years ago when we first arrived in the United States. Navid, started from the kitchen, tirelessly honing his skills and gaining invaluable experience over 12 years. With Navid’s experience and my support throughout this journey, we were able to realize our dream of opening our own restaurant.
We named our restaurant Baran after our beloved daughter. In Farsi, Baran means rain, a fitting name as all the significant events in our lives have taken place on rainy days. Our daughter was born on a rainy Valentine’s day, and we got married on a rainy day. These special moments inspired us to celebrate rain and its significance in our lives.
At Baran, we strive to bring modern Persian tradition to your dining experience. Our decor reflects this vision, with a striking 3D Persian rug on the ceiling and elements reminiscent of Iran's historical landmarks. Every detail is crafted to transport you to a place where tradition meets contemporary elegance.
We invite you to join us and experience the rich flavors and warm hospitality that define Baran. Welcome to our story, and thank you for being a part of it.
Warm regards,
Elnaz, Navid & Baran Daneshpour
